Mansi singer, Babes Wodumo, took to social media to explain to fans why her Umlazi show was cancelled.
Babes Wodumo has had one bad experience after another, since the beginning of this year. And things seem to be getting worse and worse each time.
Apparently this past weekend, there was some kind of altercation and her show in Umlazi was cancelled. The Gqom singer took to Twitter to apologise to her fans and explain what had happened.
"To all my Umlazi fans I love you too much. My performance was stopped by the promoter and owner of Nuz Vegas. I’m hurting because my sister/manager has a broken finger, my drummer has a cut on his lip my hand is painful."
Babes downfall began at the beginning of the year, March to be exact when she posted a late night Instagram live video of an argument between her and her boyfriend, Mampintsha.
The video, which shows Mampintsha placing his hands on the singer and striking her several times, caused such an uproar on social media. Fellow celebs and Mzansi tweeps called for his arrest and urged the songstress to press charges, which she did. But after pressing charges of assault against Mampintsha, Babes also had a warrant issued for her arrest.
Tweeps were alarmed yet again and really concerned for the singer’s well-being and mental health. They even urged her to change the company she kept.
Babes eventually took her fans suggestions and began to refocus on her work, when this Umlazi incident occurred.
However her social media fans were brutal in their reactions to her recent Tweet about the Umlazi gig being cancelled. Check out some of the comments below:
Meanwhile earlier today, Briefly.co.za reported that Babes Wodumo and Mampinstsha have released a new song together. But what does this mean? It was only two months ago that a video went viral of Mampintsha hitting his girlfriend, Wodumo, and assault charges were opened. Could they be back together? And what about the assault charges?
