Prince Harry announced the news that he and Meghan Markle welcomed a baby boy this afternoon. BBC reported that Prince Harry confirmed that the mother of the baby is doing fine.
It was gathered that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, had reportedly gone into labour in the early hours of Monday, 6 May.
According to Daily Mirror, the Buckingham Palace confirmed the news this afternoon. The Duchess had gone into labour with the Duke by his side.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's first born child will be the seventh-in-line to the throne.
Unlike the normal royal tradition, the royal couple chose to keep the details about the birth of their first child secret, which means details about whether the baby would be born at home or in the hospital was not revealed to the public.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had reportedly broken the news that they are expecting a child to the Queen and the rest of the royal family at Princess Eugenie's wedding on Friday, October 12.
