A video has emerged of EFF leader Julius Malema saying that children who skip school should be arrested. Mzansi social media users had mixed reactions over the CIC's statement.
Juju believes that kids who skip school are wasting state resources and should be arrested for the "fruitless expenditure" the state incurs. He was speaking on SABC News where he also added that if the child is too young to be arrested, then the mother and father would have to decide which of them would serve the child's punishment.
Twitter user Ofentse Maswe agreed with Juju, saying that he did not see the joke because all that was said was factual.
"Yhup! You heard right. Developed countries such as England do this. Do your research babies, this man knows exactly what he’s talking about."
Kgaogelo Phillip was amused by the fact that the family has to decide who gets arrested:
"At the end of the day someone has to get arrested. The family will decide who goes to jail. We don't care."

"I wanted to vote EFF but after watching this I'm not sure anymor"
