Rapper Cassper Nyovest has taken to social media to say that the people of Mzansi don't celebrate each other's achievements enough. This comes after a few South Africans made notable international achievements.
Cassper pointed out that Percy Tau won player of the season in Belgium, and not enough people were making a noise about it. Briefly.co.za previously reported that Bafana Bafana's Percy Tau was been named Proximus Player of the season in Belgium's second division. Over the season, he scored 10 goals in 33 matches with 12 assists. As a result, he carried his team to a third-place finish.
The 'Gusheshe' hitmaker went on to ask Mzansi to "make noise" about our wins including Caster Semenya and Black Coffee's achievements.
He said that all three of them inspire him. Social media users were in full agreement with Cassper's sentiments, with Twitter user Miss Ndaba saying:
"We are getting everything that was taken from us by full force. Just picture all MZANTSI full of winners in the next 10 years"
Peter Mat said:
"Imagine?!? But I get news notification from News24:Royal baby, Meghan gives births to boy. My neighbor gave birth to. How is that gon help decrease the price of bread? We need to celebrate our own people first. Cassper is Right!"
