Nationwide, South Africans are headed to the polls or have already cast their vote. The anticipation for the outcome of the 2019 elections is tangible. Here is where you can find the results once they are released.

South Africa is currently deciding who will lead the country for the next few years in the 2019 elections.

Over 26 million people have registered to leave their mark, with about 19 million expected to actually take part.

Nevertheless, the nation's mind is on the results, which are expected to be released around Saturday.

Nearly 23 000 voting stations will be open today until 9pm tonight, with the IEC's Elections Results Centre in Pretoria releasing results and additional information.

The predictions ahead of the official announcements expect the ANC to see a decline in support, with experts forecasting 55% to 60% of the vote going to the ruling party.

The Democratic Alliance is expected to show a slight drop, securing around 18% to 20% of the votes, with the EFF expecting a major influx of support to between 11% and 14%.
