Elections 2019: Celebs have proudly given their parties their votes

While most people keep their votes a secret, many of them aren't shy to say they made their 'X', and celebs are no exception. Some celebs make no secret of who they support and hope their fans will follow their example.

Election Day is in full swing, and South Africans are proudly putting their votes next to the political party that they support.

Most celebs are keeping mum on who they voted for, but they're loudly encouraging their fans to go vote as well.

Somizi, for one, was all dressed up and ready to cast his vote and shared a video to motivate others to do the same.

Briefly.co.za noticed that most of our favourite celebs are staying quiet about who they voted for and when, but a number of them shared news of their voting plans in some way or another.

Since early on 8 May, these celebs have been taking to social media to show their fans that they're going to cast their votes and are calling on them to do the same.

AKA

It's no secret that AKA is an ANC supporter and he'll certainly have given them their vote.

Bonang Matheba

Bonang didn't spell out who she's voting for but wanted her fans to join her in putting that 'X' on paper.

Ntando Duma

Ntando's fans know she's an EFF supporter and she often shares posts of herself wearing their regalia, so her vote isn't exactly a state secret.

Thando Thabethe

Since she's a public figure, Thando is keeping her vote info to herself, but she's not hiding how she feels about the privilege to cast her vote.

Arthur Mafokate

Arthur Mafokate is believed to be an ANC supporter as he is often seen at their events and likes wearing supporting colours and shirts.
