Last night's episode of Generations: The Legacy was a little laid-back. Smanga had to tie up lose ends after his resignation from the NIP. The elections went on as planned but people were unsure who to vote for. Mpho was excited to get a lead on the stolen camera equipment and Lerato had a big decision to make.
People were all confused about the real reason why Smanga stepped down from the NIP, and scanned through newspapers to see if he had explained why he resigned, but there were no signs. The elections went ahead and people cast their votes.
Kabisi was upset with Smanga, but when he found out that Smanga stepped down because of something related to a Russian man, he was happy that Smanga made the right decision.
Luckily for him, Jack didn't see it necessary to get even with Smanga for ruining their plans with the nuclear deal, and eventually convinced Petrov to forget about it too.
Even the Diales were confused about who to vote for now that Smanga stepped down and Nkaba was dead.
Meanwhile, Tshidi still couldn't tell Kumkani that she was pregnant. He offered to take her on a holiday to Bali, something she was longing to do, but instead Tshidi made excuses that she had too much work to do at Ezweni Inc.
Viewers thought of ways in which she should approach Kumkani. While some said be honest, others said Kumkani wouldn't know the difference with conception dates.
On the other hand, Mpo got some great news, a lead about who stole the camera equipment. He asked Jerah to come along with him to prove that he is not a thief. They realised that the guys they hired to do the documentary were the ones who stole the equipment and Mpho managed to handle the situation and get the equipment back.
Lerato decided to resign from NIP as well, as she said she didn't feel right working for the company when Smanga was not there. She said she was afraid to work under the new guy, who could change the policies of the party, and she didn't want to deal with that.
And last but not least, Sphe was smitten with her father, Jack, who helped her out of the blackmailing ordeal. She took her daughter, Rori, to go meet him for lunch. We saw a more softer and caring side of Jack. But Jack also explained to Zitha later that he wanted to get close to Sphe and her family but it has to be on her terms, and to let her think that she is in charge of her destiny, even though he is controlling it.
Mazwi wasn't too pleased and warned Sphe to be careful around Jack as he is untrustable. Jack has a history of manipulating people to get his own way.
