SA Elections 2019: Mzansi reacts to the ANC leading with votes

The African National Congress (ANC) is leading in the #SAelections2019 so far and South Africans have voices their views on the ruling party's lead on social media.

According to reports, the ANC is leading with 56% of the votes at this point and Briefly.co.za asked our readers how they felt about the ruling party's lead thus far.

We took a look at some of our readers' reactions - some were excited that the ANC was leading while others claimed they're only winning because the elections were not fair.

Hannetjie Fritz commented: "If it was a win free and fair yes but it was not so not feeling good about is."
Nomfusi Ka Bukho Selana said: "I'm very happy Long live ANC long live."
Chuma Motolwana added: "We are more than happy and confident that the ruling party will continue to rule. We are just praying to see changes as Ramaphosa promised. We know it will take time but we are hoping he will take 1 step at a time towards improving our country."
Petrona Baloyi wrote: "Super proud even our children will vote for ANC amandla!"
Thando Mokgatlhe commented: "We happy, we love our ANC and we know where we come from, our grandparents and great grandparents died for this party."
Mohlala Kgaugelo added: "I think them losing metros was a wake up call for them. I trust that they will do things better this time around and I really have hope on Ramaphosa, they must actually thank him."
