Thabo Mooki spent 15 glorious years at the Amakhosi and Briefly.co.za remembers what he brought to the club.
These days, a one-club man is a rarity in football.
Talented local footballers are often lured by overseas clubs and many often transfer between different PSL clubs.
Thabo Mooki was one of the few players whose career started and ended at the Amakhosi.
The midfield maestro was born and bred in Soweto and dazzled the Chiefs faithful for 15 years.
Nicknamed “Tsiki-Tsiki”, Mooki was a fan favourite due to his flair and trickery.
He represented Kaizer Chiefs on 350 occasions while wearing the number 12 jersey.
Even though he enjoyed a glittering career, Chiefs chose not to honour him with a benefit match.
