Briefly.co.za reported on a story about a 15-year-old boy who has to wake up at 3am to take three different taxis to get to school. Mzansi social media users had mixed emotions over this.

The Benoni High school pupil needs about R2 000 every month for transportation alone. He has been using public transport for three years. He says that he has now gotten used to the dark and travelling alone.

While many felt sorry for the young boy, others couldn't help but wonder if there was more to the story.

"In some boarding schools you will pay R18 000 a year... so this is child abuse, please report his parents to welfare."
