This week, Pearl Thusi got emotional, Zodwa Wabantu proposed to her bae, Kairo joined her DJ mommy on stage and was a hit, the elections kept South Africans busy on the 8th and US star Keyshia Cole channelled her inner Zulu maiden.
Pearl Thusi is one hella awesome momma bear. The beautiful actress has two beautiful girls that she would do absolutely anything for. A fan recently reminded Pearl of an old tweet that gave her a little fuzzy feeling inside.
Last year, Okhule, Pearl’s youngest, sprung into the spotlight without anyone knowing anything other than the fact that she has brought so much joy to the Thusi clan.
Pearl has not given a rundown on Okhule, and she probably doesn’t feel that she has to either. Pearl made the selfless decision to give a tiny princess a home, a family and a future, and nothing more really needs to be said.
Gone are the days when women wait for a man to propose, these days they prefer to do it themselves. Zodwa Wabantu is one of those women who decided to go down on one a knee this weekend to propose to her Ben 10, Ntobeko Linda, and he said yes.
According to The Daily Sun, the love-birds have been together for 4 years and are finally ready to tie the knot. Zodwa took to social media to show her fans that she won't wait for any man as she can do things on her own.
She shared a video of her proposal. Take a look below:
Popular South African musician, DJ Zinhle, recently captured the hearts of fans when she brought her daughter Kairo on stage at a show.
Zinhle shared a clip of the cute moment online and followers absolutely adored how beautiful mother and daughter looked. Kairo gave the crowd a shy wave from her mommy’s side and the fans went wild.
The ANC has won the 2019 elections, but the party has seen their support slip in the last few years.
The elections itself have not been without drama either.
Small parties like ACM, Land Party and others have called for re-election. Briefly.co.za learnt that they have all apparently joined forces to demand action is taken over discrepancies during the election.
Phakamile Hlubi-Majola, spokesman for the Socialist Revolutionary Workers Party, commented that:
"All of these discrepancies cannot be ignored. The IEC has said that it is conducting investigations where it will take samples. We wonder if investigations will provide answers by Saturday. We are asked to endorse a system which is flawed."
The parties feel that the elections were unfair and have called on the IEC to intervene. Led by Mzawanele Manyi, ACM party head, the group has gathered at the front of the IEC's results centre, adamant that issues such as the allegations of double voting cannot be ignored.
However, the IEC announced that an audit of votes would not be necessary.
Mzansi is calling for the US pop star, Keyshia Cole, to be given some recognition for her inner Zulu girl. Keyshia shocked her South African fans when she busted a few Zulu lines on social media.
Keyshia is a total slay queen. Not only is she a chart-topping artist, she is an incredible businesswoman who has built an unbreakable empire. Keyshia caused quite a hype on social media when she channelled her inner Zulu maiden.
To say that her South African fans were amazed would be an understatement. Even though her post was a simple and sweet message that translates to "Hi everyone. I love you. Thank you for following me", it was a nice touch and fans totally respected the effort.
