Local artist wows Mzansi with drawings of famous South Africans

A local artist wowed South Africans after he posted photos of his paintings and drawings on social media.

A Pretoria-based artist, Heath Hlatshwayo, took to social media on Monday to share photos of a drawing and painting he had done of DJ Black Coffee.

"Hello Twitter... I'm Heath Hlatshwayo from Pretoria and I specialize in Art. Below is a pencil drawing and a painting I did," he wrote. ‏

The post gathered a positive response from social media users, so Briefly.co.za decided to take a look at some of his other works of art.

Vuyolwethu Mbangi, who goes by the Twitter handle‏ @VuyolwethuMban3, commented: "Breath taking especially the pencil drawing."
Another tweep, @thabisojoy02, added: "You such an inspiration boy. Big up!"

Another one of Hlatshwayo's stunning drawings was of Nomzamo Mbatha.

Social media user @Slebogo4 commented: "Aaah! My brother you deserve a Bell. Nice portrait. Hope sis Nomzamo will see this & do something, I'm one of these guys who love Art especially portraits. Wish you all the Best... brother."

Another one of his painting featured South African sports star Caster Semenya.
