They say that necessity is the mother of all invention.
That may be the case if the latest invention is anything to go by following the droughts that have hit Mzansi in the past.
A video was shared via Facebook showing a man using an innovative technique to wash himself.
South Africa Live shared the video and claimed the new invention was created in Limpopo.
The footage shows the man taking a shower using a water bottle stuck to his back.
The video already went viral within hours of being shared on Wednesday.
Briefly.co.za perused the many comments and the vast majority were impressed with the strange contraption.
Kirsty Miller said, “I love that! So clever!”
Raymond Anengoni Mango added, “As a Top Fan i am truly amazed at the invention.”
Stanley Christiaan Esterhuizen commented, “Great idea when you go camping.”
Mandilakhe Richard Kweta said, “Creativity, nice innovation salute black brother.”
However, some viewers put things into perspective and highlighted that the man may have been driven to use this approach due to him lacking a bathroom at home.
Phindiwe Mazomba added, “Very creative and effective too. Respect to you for making the best of what you have. Not having a bathroom doesn't make you any less of a human being.”
Imran Omar said, “This is so sad to see that people don't have basics. I feel so bad for this guy.”
