South Africans were left divided after a woman shared that she received money from an admirer in return for her cellphone number.
A woman took to social media to detail how she received a R250 e-wallet from a man who wanted her number.
The lady, who has been identified by her Twitter handle Resego, shared screenshots of the payment notification and the message the admirer sent to her.
"I met this guy at Spar asking for number. I said mfe chelete pele. He said OK, give me numbers so I can ewallet you and..." the woman captioned the post.
Briefly.co.za gathered Resego saw a business opportunity and revealed she's planning to sell her number from now on.
The entire story sparked quite the reaction and it left Mzansi divided.
Nkanyiso Mbatha, who goes by the Twitter handle @nkanyiso_mbatha, commented: "Some guys are just dumb AF!!! Why pay for something you can get for free?"
Another tweep, @TEESA411, added: "Mzansi girls are messed up up stairs and they are proud of it...soo sad!"
Social media user @ImaniTheBrownie wrote: "Your behavior has proven iconic and I have no choice but to stan."
