The student whose graduation outfit showed the harsh reality of unemployment among the youth has opened up on social media, adding he only wants to take care of his family.
On Thursday, Briefly.co.za reported on a young man who went viral for all the right reasons. He made a stand at his graduation with his outfit - an overall and a security vest with "Unemployed graduate" written on it.
The young man, who has been identified by his Twitter handle @fananaye1, has since taken to social media to open up about his outfit.
"I was not studying to make education fashionable but my primary aim was to complete my first junior degree and get a job so that I can feed my poor family..." he captioned the post.
Social media users praised @fananaye1 for his dedication to his family and how he inspired them.
Twitter user @AtiMopeli commented: "Highly admirable. No pride. Just a young and qualified man who has goals he wishes to fulfill. All the best abuti. Please give us the good news when it pulls through."
Social media user @NanaZulu added: "Hopefully something comes up all the best."
Ellias Sitafu, who's Twitter handle is @Hlalifang95, wrote: "The Lord sees you my brother. He'll make your wishes a reality."
Patrick, @patrickkatabayi, said: "your determination got you there, keep pushing and you'll get just that dream Job and your family will be proud of you forever."
