- SA Minister of Finance, Tito Mboweni, has taken to social media to beg ex-DA leader, Helen Zille, not to make any more posts
- This plea follows Zille’s recent controversial rant, which accused SA politicians of #blackprivilege
- Mboweni went on to say that Zille is in a “wrong psychological space”
South Africa’s Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, directed a Tweet at ex-Democratic Alliance (DA) leader, Helen Zille, today, asking her to “take it easy”.
This plea comes after yet another controversial Twitter outburst from Zille, who ranted about the effects of #blackprivilege in South Africa this week.
Mboweni even went as far as asking Zille to not Tweet at all today, telling her that she is “in a wrong psychological space” and could be at risk of having a stroke.
Many thought that by sending this message in Zille’s direction, Mboweni was encouraging her rash Tweeting .
Others cheekily expressed their hopes that the same message would apply to Mboweni himself, as the Finance Minister has also been known to cause a commotion with his Tweets.
Briefly.co.za found that a great deal of social media users couldn't concentrate on Zille as they were still making fun of Mboweni’s hilarious cooking mishap last weekend, when he made a strange chicken stew and documented the process online.
