Mampintsha’s manager, Lindo “Dogg DBN” Buthelezi, has confirmed that Babes Wodumo and his client are back working on a professional basis and are planning their new #BonnieAnd Clyde tour.
The jury is still out on Babes and Mampintsha's romantic relationship as both singers have not said a word about the real state of their relationship.
But according to TshisaLIVE, Mampintsha's manager, Lindo “Dogg DBN” Buthelezi, shared that Babes and Mampintsha’s professional relationship is definitely on the mend and quickly gaining momentum.
“Yes, professionally the two are working pretty well and looking to professionalise things better with the help of FameUs management,” he said.
Dogg shared a performance promotion poster that revealed the two stars being referred to Mr and Mrs Smith (which is a reference to an action film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie).
Mampintsha’s manager then added that the two singers have big plans for their professional career, including a tour which they believe will be the “biggest South Africa has ever seen”, called the #BonnieAndClyde tour.
Dogg explained the concept and career direction Babes and Mampintsha were taking.
“I created the whole concept and tour then presented it to them at our brand meeting and they agreed. It’s not that they’re calling themselves that, I just used the term, ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ because I knew people would have an understanding of what I’m trying to project, which is: this very famous couple and very dramatic environment – which is something common to people but exaggerated when it comes to celebrities,” added Dogg.
Two weeks ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha have released a new song together. But what does this mean? It was only two months ago that a video went viral of Mampintsha hitting his girlfriend, Wodumo, and assault charges were opened. Could they be back together? And what about the assault charges?
According to TshisaLIVE, Mampintsha’s manager, Lindo “Dogg DBN” Buthelezi, told the publication that the muso had dropped the assault charges against Wodumo, and insisted the couple is back together.
He said: “When you are in a relationship with someone and you have different personalities, things can happen. People are waiting for them to fight and go at each other, but they are in love. This is real. The love is real. This was not fabricated. We are not playing anyone for fools.”
