South Africans were inspired by a first-time farmer who dreams of feeding the nation and creating job opportunities for the unemployed.
Briefly.co.za came across the inspirational story of a local man, who was identified simply as Sipho, on social media.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Sipho share photos of his first harvest.
"I'm proud of myself! This is my first attempt ku agriculture. I have learnt my lessons, I know the next harvest will be bigger and better! Kancane kancane," he captioned the post.
In another post, Sipho shared a video and wrote that he only wants to feed the people of South Africa and create job opportunities.
The story inspired social media users who gave their two cents' worth on Sipho's goals in the comment section. Other aspiring farmers even asked his advice.
Sandy Seutane, who goes by the Twitter handle @Snypha_legend, commented: "I have a small garden, feel free to go into my DM and give Me tips on how to grow what it in season for my family and neighbours.... good luck with the rest of your produce. God bless and keep you."
Kgoshi Sekhukhune, @Sydwellnkadi, wrote: "My future mentor. God keep you for me. Stay Blessed."
