South Africa was in the midst of graduation season and one man was awarded a PhD via social – majoring in the art of theft.

Hard as it may be to believe, the criminal was lauded as a video of his caper was shared via Facebook.

South Africa Live shared the video on Wednesday and it’s already trending.

The footage shows how the man removes a generator from a cage and walks off with the object as he carries it on his back.

Many social media users found the footage entertaining and it sparked some lively debate.

Janus Steenkamp said, “Just think what he can achieve if he applied all that intelligence in looking for a JOB.”
Bradley Bole replied, “Maybe if there were jobs...”
