An armed assailant learned the hard way not to mess with fed-up South Africans when he tried to rob a foreigner-owned store.
A video was shared on social media which showed a robber getting a taste of his own medicine when shoppers decided to fight back.
According to The South African, a foreigner-owned shop was held up in Polokwane by an armed man. The thug instructed the people in the store to lay down on the ground, however, moments later the tables turned and the robber was the one in need of help.
Briefly.co.za gathered the video was shared on Intelligence Bureau SA's Facebook page and it gathered over 61 000 views in just a couple of hours.
South Africans praised the shoppers for fighting back and some dubbed the 'fan guy' the star of the video.
Nel Nellie said: "The trophy goes to the fan guy. What was he trying to do with the fan?"
