Kwesta is considered one of Mzansi's most-talented musicians and he works hard to keep giving his fans the kind of music they want. The rapper says he wants his music to reflect his life and feelings.
Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi, better known as Kwesta, is one of South Africa's biggest musicians.
His music is the stuff that fans want and he has a huge fanbase. Kwesta works hard to keep up the standard that he created, and it shows. The music video for Ngiyazifela Ngawe is one of SA’s most-watched YouTube videos.
Kwesta made history with his third album, DaKAR II, which reached platinum 7 times.
Perhaps it's the honesty in his music that makes it so popular, and that honesty is exactly what the rapper wants to give his fans.
SAHipHopMag reports that in true Kwesta fashion, his new single, Khethile Khethile, doesn't shy away from sharing honest feelings - exactly what he wanted to do.
“I really want the honesty of my life to be reflected in my music. This song encapsulates my feeling of gratitude for my beautiful wife, Yolanda, and everybody that has allowed me to be myself and grow in this industry.
"It is a new chapter of my life and I want to share that with everyone so that they can feel what I feel and understand the state of mind that I’m in."
Briefly.co.za gathered that the visuals for the video were shot on Kwesta's wedding days.
“At the wedding, I didn’t even know that the video was being recorded by my good friend, K-Zaka. He asked to follow me around during the day and as soon as he showed me all the footage I said, let’s put the music to it.”
The video is very personal and gives viewers a look at what Kwesta's special days were like.
