Baba Mthethwa, Sesotho SuperSport football commentator, is reportedly being sued by Olivia Kgomotso Koosimile - whom he says he is not married to. He apparently borrowed R1 million from her and failed to repay it.
Baba Mthethwa, SuperSport Sesotho football commentator (also known as Hothaata Banna), is apparently being sued by his 'wife', Olivia Kgomotso Koosimile.
Olivia wants back the R1 million she loaned to Baba, which he allegedly failed to pay.
However, SowetanLIVE reports that Baba denies being married to Olivia and refused to comment on the money matter because it is a legal issue.
“I don’t know what you are talking about, but because it is a legal matter, it needs a lawyer to respond to the questions you are asking."
Olivia filed summons against Baba after he did not pay back R807 000 he still owes her on the R1 million loan.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Baba signed an acknowledgement of debt in February and agreed to pay back the loan in monthly payments of R10 000 plus interest until his debt is paid in full.
If he did not make these payments, the agreement would force him to pay the entire outstanding amount, which is allegedly what happened.
“Accordingly, the full outstanding balance of R807 000 has become due and payable."
SowetanLIVE also reports that Olivia and Baba tied the knot in June 2015 in Daveyton, where they had a traditional wedding.
But according to Baba, he is not married to Olivia.
“I’m not married to Kgomotso, you want to dribble me, I know how you work, so I repeat, I’m not married to Kgomotso.”
It is not clear what the loan was for.
