Mzansi musician, Zakes Bantwini, just dropped a major bombshell on live radio. On Phat Joe’s show on Radio 2000, he revealed that he first became a father at the ripe age of 14.
Zakes is a hugely famous artist in Mzansi. He has produced albums that touch the soul and performed songs by legendary artists such as Hugh Masekela, Thandiswa Mazwai and Sipho 'Hotsticks' Mabuse with total justice.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the realisation hit when Zakes, who is 38 years old, revealed that his first-born is 24 years old.
Zakes was questioned about it on live radio and openly admitted that he conceived his first-born when he was only 12 or 13. What a wow!

“Yes, I impregnated a girl when I was 12 or 13 years old. I didn’t believe it, my mom didn’t believe it, no one believed it. I still don’t believe it,” expressed Zakes.
Even though he was so young, Zakes owned his role as a father. His daughter lives just down the road from him and they are extremely close.
