DJ Zinhle weighed in on Ntsiki Mazwai apparently pulling out of Pearl Thusi’s Behind the Story interview, and things got a little messy.
A week ago, Pearl Thusi fired an explosive Twitter thread about Ntsiki Mazwai. Ntsiki retaliated and just when Mzansi thought things were over, Pearl’s best friend, DJ Zinhle stepped in, which possibly made it worse.
It all started when Pearl laughed off Ntsiki’s accusation that she is “obnoxious” and then let off a series of tweets claiming the poet and TV host could use some “love” to teach her how to love others. But then Ntsiki hit back a few days later, slamming Pearl’s thread and then started a massive debate on “yellow bone privilege”, which was aimed at Pearl’s skin tone.
Then on Monday, Pearl took to Twitter to claim that Ntsiki had turned down her invitation to appear on her talk show, Behind The Story. She wrote: “Just heard Ntsiki pulled out of the interview for Behind the Story. Really bummed because the way I conduct the interviews was never going to be offensive, if that was going to be the issue. Was looking forward to a productive and insightful conversation. Alas.”
Pearl later deleted the tweet, claiming that her friends advised her to. But it was not before her BBF, DJ Zinhle, responded, saying: “Typical cyber bully... They are only brave behind their phones.”
When a social media user questioned her whether she was sticking up for her gal, DJ Zinhle responded that she was speaking out after being cyber bullied herself.

While fans debated over Zinhle’s tweet, Ntsiki took to her own Twitter account to address the situation and speculated that Zinhle must have been touched by something she had said about Bonang Matheba.
Ntsiki went on to say that Pearl should have e-mailed her if she had an issue and claimed that people “always gang up against the strongest.”
And while DJ Zinhle resisted the urge to respond to Ntsiki’s tweets, Pearl claimed that she had been blocked by Ntsiki and so couldn’t see any of her shots being fired.
Oh, when will this end already?
