Media personality, Minnie Dlamini-Jones, has successfully established her own production company and is already working on some great new projects.
Mzansi knows that the entertainment industry is generally not an ideal place to have a long and fruitful career in. And we have seen many celebrities fall out of fame and fortune. Which is why most celebrities look for more than one side hustle.
Minnie Dlamini-Jones is a prime example of how she has already anticipated a long and sustainable career path within the arts sector.
The KZN-born star established her own television production company called Beautiful Day Productions and has already lined up two amazing productions under the belt, 'Becoming Mrs Jones' and 'Spirit of Mzansi'.
According to ZAlebs, Minnie spoke to Sunday Sun about her career plans about venturing out into the executive side of the television business.
“I’ve always wanted to be in business. It’s been a beautiful [and] natural progression, growing into the creative side of things,” said one of SA’s biggest media personalities.
Only a handful of on-screen talent have created life-long and sustainable careers with solely working in front of the camera, however many have considered getting into other mediums within the creative industry.
Minnie told the publication that “when you acquire the skills to write, produce or be a showrunner, it always keeps you in the forefront.”
The media personality also added that she is enjoying her role as a content curator.
“I am enjoying my role as a content curator. This is where I see my future. The next phase is about exploring different opportunities, growing as a professional and diversifying.”
Another well-known face who had chosen a similar career paths is television presenter and actor, Lungile Radu. He recruited fellow actor, Thomas Gumede and TV presenter Siyabonga Scoop Makhathini, who has since left the company due to undisclosed reasons, to form partners in a television production company called, Parental Advisory Productions (PAP). This company produced shows like Abomama, Uyang’thanda na? and Forever Young.
Meanwhile, about two weeks ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Minnie Dlamini-Jones and her husband, Quinton, got to hang out with rugby icon, Siya Kolisi, and his lovely wife, Rachel. Minnie shared snaps of them together at the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Springboks limited edition launch.
Judging by these photos, everyone had a really good time at the launch of the exclusive (and expensive) watch.
