Former Kaizer Chiefs icon, Simphiwe Tshabalala,is departing from Turkey and his club, BB Erzurumspor.
His big European move didn’t go according to plan and the 34-year-old endured a challenging season in Turkey.
In his final match, Tshabalala completed his first full 90 minutes for the first time this season.
He boosted his side to an away victory, but it wasn’t enough to prevent them from being relegated.
It was his swansong in Europe and the former Bafana Bafana ace sent a classy goodbye message to the BB Erzurumspor supporters via social media.
TimesLIVE reported that Shabba is headed back home to make a decision on his future.
The overseas move seemed like a bridge too far with his age against him as well as the instability within the Turkish side.
Tshabalala is expected back in Johannesburg within the next few days and it’s been predicted that he could receive more than one lucrative offer from the local clubs.
