A refugee was found stashed behind the glove box of a car in a desperate attempt to flee to Europe.
The man was among three people who were found hiding under very dangerous conditions as they tried to cross the Morocco border.
According to a Spanish civil guard, the man was one of four refugees who had resorted to risking their lives to head overseas in the hope of better lives.
One other person was found hiding behind the base of a dump truck, placing him at risk of being crushed to death by the vehicle’s axles.
Two of the refugees had to receive medical attention as a result of injuries they sustained from their hideouts.
Quite sadly, a 15-year-old girl was also among the four nabbed trying to flee the country.
In recent months, Morocco has been a gateway for undocumented African migrants to cross over to Europe in search of greener pastures.
Unfortunately however, the Europe mission has at times proven to be a tall order, with refugees resorting to desperate means including scaling walls rigged with razors.
In January, a woman was busted trying to smuggle a teenage immigrant inside a suitcase in Spanish territory.
