The EFF has rejected Cyril Ramaphosa's new Cabinet, which the president announced on Wednesday night.

The Red Berets expressed this view in a public statement.

Indeed, the party's statement contains salvo after salvo aimed at Ramaphosa. The document refers to the president as a "dishonest, manipulative person", among other criticism.

The EFF slammed Ramaphosa's claim that he would reduce the size of Cabinet, saying that he actually increased the number of deputy-ministers. They say this negates any reduction Ramaphosa achieved by reducing the number of ministers to 28.

The party says that Ramaphosa has failed to save the public money. Additionally, they accuse him of feeding the "factional and careerist gluttony of the ANC".

The EFF also rejects the re-appointment of Pravin Gordhan as Public Enterprises Minister. They maintain that he is a "corrupt individual", according to eNCA.

Additionally, the EFF says Ramaphosa has shown himself to be a "constitutional delinquent" because the Public Protector had recommended that remedial action be taken against Gordhan.

In sum, the party says that Ramaphosa's Cabinet announcement is a "declaration of war". Consequently, they say they will treat Ramaphosa the same way they treated former president Jacob Zuma.
