Queen B, as she is fondly known, was awarded the Inspiration and Influence Award at the Global Social Awards in Prague, Czech Republic, on Wednesday.

The awards are held to celebrate the popular figures from the world of social media, which drew more than 40 influencers from across the world to this prestigious occasion.

Bonang was accompanied by her cousin, Pinky Girl, to the city a few days ago. From the video posted on social media, Bonang looked very relaxed as she awaited the winner of her category to be announced.

According to TshisaLive, the category's nominees were reduced throughout the evening until Bonang was announced as one of two finalists with the most votes.

This was really a tense moment for Bonang, but when she won, she danced in excitement in her seat before she took the stage to claim her award and deliver the most sincere speech.

All this time, Pinky Girl was cheering and applauding her cousin for her achievement.

Bonang thanked her fans in South Africa for their support in her acceptance speech.

“I know everyone voted and rooted for me. We did it! I have a long 18-hour flight back home but it was worth it,” she said.

Queen B went on to encourage people, especially celebrities, to make a difference in the world with social media content.

“I would like to say to all the influencers who are here. If you are on a platform to influence and inspire, make sure you use it in a positive way. Make sure you light people’s lives and make sure you use your social platforms to talk about things that are important around you, in your country.”

Bonang was so overwhelmed with excitement that she took to her social media platforms to thank her fans and express her gratitude.

Bonang's social media platforms were inundated with congratulatory messages and she took the time to personally thank some of the commenters.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Briefly.co.za reported that a social media user claimed that Bonang Matheba is stressed because weak men frustrate her. She apparently never said any such thing, and while Bonang could laugh it off, her fans showed their loyalty and fiercely defended her.

Bonang Matheba had it right when she said "They have to talk about you. Because when they talk about themselves, nobody listens."

A social media user, who seems to be linked to an online magazine, said that Queen B is stressed because of the frustration that weak men cause. However, it seems that Bonang never said those exact words, and while she was able to just laugh it off and say 'people are weird', her fans weren't as forgiving.
