Actor Nyaniso Dzedze says he faced many accusations of betrayal and anger after he decided to marry the love of his life, Yana Seidl, an English-German dancer. However, he only learnt to love his wife even more.
Nyaniso Dzedze, best known for his role as Tsietsi Namane on E.tv's Ashes to Ashes, has opened up about the accusations of betrayal and lots of anger that he has been dealing with since he decided to make a white woman his wife.
TimesLIVE reports that Nyaniso and Yana Seidl, an English-German dancer, were long-time sweethearts before they got hitched during a beautiful ceremony in 2018.
It hasn't been an easy road for either of them as their love was not accepted overnight.
The actor took to social media to share a peek at what he has been going through by quoting a struggle song and then discussing what he's feeling.
Part of his post read:
"I have done anything but betray you.
"I have chosen my war. The war is not with you my blood. Neither is it with my wife or white people... It's within."
Briefly.co.za gathered that Nyaniso also shared how one of his friends could finally connect with his wife after struggling because of anger towards 'whiteness'.
"Last week I left my wife to spend half of the day with a dear brother and celebrated South African artist for artistic exchange.
"My wife shared with me that he confided in her that in the years of knowing her with me, this was the only time he found it in his heart that they connect because the wounds/ anger her whiteness represented to him wouldn't allow him to come near."
