A Capetonian woman’s life is about to change after she became the sole winner of the R79 million LOTTO jackpot.
ITHUBA confirmed the news on Saturday, after her Quick Pick selected ticket was deemed successful.
The female winner explained how her heart started beating faster when she revealed that she was the winner of the jackpot.
IOL reported on the lady’s plans with her winnings, which included some very commendable gestures.
She said, “I want to buy a house with a big yard where my adopted grandson can run around safely and freely. My daughter and I adopted this baby boy when he was just 5 days old after he was living with his mother on the streets – we wanted to give him a better chance at life.”
The woman also wants her 24-year-old daughter to quit her job as a call centre agent to pursue her studies in Psychology.
Briefly.co.za gathered the jackpot went to a worthy winner as she also revealed her plans to build a children’s haven.
She also confirmed to ITHUBA that she’d like to bless her favourite petrol attendant with R2 million.
She explained that she’s been filling up her car at the same petrol station for years and is always greeted by the same friendly man.
Over the years, the two struck up a friendship and chat whenever she goes there.
The kind-hearted winner said, I have always wished to help make his life better in any way, and I now have an opportunity to do so. I know this money will make a huge difference in his life.”
