Mzansi calls on record label to free rapper Emtee with #FreeEmtee

Record labels are supposed to support and build artists, but it doesn't always go this smoothly. Emtee seems to want to break away from his label, Ambitiouz Entertainment. He created #FreeEmtee as a cry for help of sorts.

Local rapper, Emtee, has apparently sent out a kind of call for help. It looks like he isn't happy with his record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment.

He took to social media and with just a few words informed his fans that he wants to be free.

"I know my supporters want me to prosper. #FreeEmtee"

According to ZAlebs, this is not the first time that Emtee has hinted at trouble with his label.

Emtee's worried fans want him to walk away from the label but are also afraid that he'll find himself in a difficult situation if he does.

The label likely owns the rights to his music and leaving could ruin his career if he isn't careful.

Whether it's a good idea or not, Emtee started an online vote to see what his loyal fans want him to do.

For the most part, it looks like his loyal fans are behind him all the way.
