Holly Rey made history when she won the Record of the Year award at the 2019 South African Music Awards with her track Deeper.

It was a very important night for the muso because she won the most desired award and was the very first white female to do so, as also reported on by ZAlebs.

Holly beat AKA, Prince Kaybee and Kwesta, and more, to walk away with the coveted award.
