- A cop car was caught parking in a disabled parking bay in Northridge Mall, Bloemfontein
- The photo of the vehicle was shared via social media and attracted a strong reaction
- Many social media users lashed out at the policeman for setting a poor example
Many South Africans have a tumultuous relationship with South African Police Services (SAPS) officers.
Unsavoury allegations are often levelled at the police force and the sad reality is that many citizens don’t respect the boys in blue.
A recent social media post shared by Facebook user, Dee Visser, would have done little to change this.
Visser shared a photo showing a police vehicle parked in a disabled parking bay.
In the post, she asked, “Can you fricking believe this?”
Briefly.co.za surveyed the comments and it seems others were in disbelief too.
Johan Marais commented, “The incompetents set the example and cause citizens to be law breakers.”
Eugene Joubert said, “Exactly their behaviour...they think they are above the law....bastards.”
Many Facebook users speculated on the type of disability the policeman may be suffering from.
Kobus Perd Coetzer said, “Maybe they are financially disabled.”
Susan Victor added, “Stupidity is NOT a disability ... they don't know the difference.”
Isabelle Hachler said, “They are disabled! Brain amputated!”
