Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, has been out of action for numerous months as he recovers from a serious shoulder injury.
The Kaizer Chiefs shot stopper took to social media and opened up on how much he misses playing football.
Briefly.co.za previously reported on the injury and the support Khune received from his girlfriend at the time, Sbahle Mpisane.
The injury unfortunately ruled Khune out of contention for Stuart Baxter’s Afcon squad.
Via twitter, Khune shared how much he misses being on the field and included a video clip where he saved a penalty conceded against Spain.
Briefly.co.za noted how the tweet went viral as it received a mixed bag of reactions.
Numerous tweeps empathised with the Bafana Bafana hero and showed him lots of love.
However, he received a very frosty reaction from a large number of tweeps.
His choice of video clip was questioned as well. Although it showed off his skills in saving the penalty, Spain scored shortly thereafter.
