Rapper Cassper Nyovest feels that South Africa's music industry isn't up to the rest of the world's standards. He says that as long as there's petty nonsense between artists the industry will never catch up.
Cassper Nyovest has been growing immensely as a rapper and making his mark on Mzansi's music scene.
However, he feels that South Africa's music industry isn't where it could be, and it won't likely catch up because there's too much pettiness going on.
Cassper said this in response his manager, T-Lee, saying Nigeria is way ahead of Mzansi in the music world.
Cassper, who has a well-known 'beef' with fellow rapper AKA, said there's just no way artists will come together and grow collectively.
Briefly.co.za noticed that social media users quickly pointed out that as a big player in the music world, Cassper has the power to help the industry grow - if he'd let go of his issues with other artists.
You have a beef with AKA.. start there
Wena le Aka you're the biggest hip hop artists in mzansi so as long as go lwa lena nothing will ever change for our hip hop culture
AKA and Cassper are some how the enemies of progress in SA hip hop. Inspiring young rappers now have to choose on whether you are Team Mufasa or Team Mega.
Mara you are part of the problem...hai ngeke nguwe
@casspernyovest you just described what you also do though ?
