It was reported that the award-winning singer proposed to Ziphozenkosi during an Easter weekend trip to the Eastern Cape earlier this year.

His girlfriend and soon to be wife, is the daughter of Power of God Ministries leader, Bishop Sifiso Mthembu. Dumi is also a member of the same church.

Dumi told the publication that he had been living with the bishop since he a young boy, and many residents in the area thought that he was the bishop’s son.

Dumi and Ziphozenkosi wanted their wedding ceremony to be private to avoid any media attention.

“Dumi is a private person. He only publicises his music, not his private life. That’s why he wants his wedding to remain a secret,” said a source.

The source also explained that Dumi even kept the news from some of his friends and colleagues in the music industry.

Too late, the cat is out of the bag now.

But Bishop Mthembu confirmed to the publication that he’ll be walking his daughter down the aisle on Saturday.

“Yes, there will be a wedding at home in Pietermaritzburg. My daughter is getting married to a man of God,” said Mthembu.
