Mzansi shares heart-warming tributes to dads ahead of Father's Day

With Father’s Day fast approaching, South Africans stayed one step ahead as they shared touching tributes to their dads.

Father’s Day is set for June 16 and it marks a historical day in the South African calendar.

As South Africans celebrate Youth Day, the nation’s fathers will be honoured as well.

However, social media users wasted no time in paying tribute to their fathers.

Using the hash tag, #DankieTyma, many tweeps started the celebrations early as they saluted the father figures in their lives.

Briefly.co.za noted the wide array of heart-warming posts and not all of them were sent by the children.

Twitter user, Anathi Qina, shared his appreciation for his dad for allowing him to quit his job and resume his studies.

Then, Twitter user, @metaletoka, paid homage to her father for being ever-present in her life and for the way he treats her mother.

Molly Moo (@mollyleshabane) reminded us that the mom’s often have to get involved when the children are young.

There were some sad moments as well, with Miss Manzini (@AyandaYahyah) expressing her sorrow after losing her father seven months ago.

Chubby cheeks (@kgalalelo_Mak) followed it up with her touching tribute to her late father as well.

There are many instances where uncles are aunts are put in a position to raise their nephews and nieces.

Twitter user, @Skar 1009, expressed his gratitude towards his uncle for raising him, following the passing of his parents at the age of 8.
