- Irvin Khoza says Milutin Sredojević is staying put at Orlando Pirates
- Khoza added that he was pleased with both Sredojević and the team
- However, he said the team would be going into the transfer market
Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza has said that head coach, Milutin Sredojević, will remain at the club for the next season.
This comes as Pirates finishes in second place in the Absa Premiership once again under Sredojević.
Despite Pirates not bringing home any trophies since Sredojević signed on, Khoza said he is pleased with the coach's performance.
Khoza said that he believed Sredojević had done a "good job", explaining that the league was incredibly competitive and that Pirates had still performed well despite not winning the trophy.
Nevertheless, he said he was pleased with the team's performance over the last year, according to Times Live.
Additionally, Khoza appeared not to blame Sredojević for any of the team's losses. For example, he said the 2–2 draw against Cape Town City (which put an end to the Bucs' League dreams) was because the team hadn't "played our game well".
Going into the next season, Khoza said that there would be many player transfers, and potentially new blood in the team.
He added that teams such as Barcelona and Real Madrid would also be going into the transfer market ahead of the Uefa Champions League, Briefly.co.za has gathered.
