Mobi Dixon shares his grief after the death of fellow artist Nichume

Fellow musician, Mobi Dixon, has also come forward to pay his respects to house vocalist, Nichume Siwundla. The news has left Dixon distraught.

Reports of the house vocalist’s passing has sent shockwaves throughout the music industry and all her followers on social media. According to ZAlebs, the Daily Sun revealed that the singer had died in an apparent suicide a few hours ago and that there had been no further information about her sudden passing.

Nichume’s mentor and fellow musician, Mobi Dixon who featured Nichume on his hit single, Buthiza, explained how devastated he is over Nichume’s death in a statement released by Nichume’s record label, Top Chap Media.

He said: “Im distraught. I will remember Nichume as a bright light at Top Chap Media where we signed her. She was not only my first artists, but we had grown so close in the past three years that she became my little sister. She truly is gone too soon. May her soul rest in peace.”

Nichume’s brother, Qamani Siwundla also expressed his and his family’s shock and sadness after losing a loved one in the same statement.

“We as a family are in absolute shock as to what had happened. Learning that your sister gas succumbed to emotions and taken her own life can never rest well. We obviously are left with a lot of questions but also know that she had one of the strongest characters in the family and whatever she was feeling at the moment triggered immense hopelessness. We stand as a family regardless. Nichume was so loved and appreciated. We’re proud of all her achievements.”

The house vocalist, Nichume, has been trending on social media since the news broke. Social media users have expressed their shock over her sudden death and the way in which she has passed away.

The death of house vocalist, Nichume Siwundla, famous for her hit track Bhutiza, has left Mzansi saddened.

Her record label, Top Chap Media, released a statement on Friday, 7 June, confirming the tragic news. Nichume was found at a friend's place after taking her own life.
