Shelley Pembroke Hartman had a night out at The Irish Rock pub in Roodepoort, Gauteng.
However, the evening turned sour as a group of intoxicated friends left the bar and accidentally reversed into Shelley’s car.
Shelley was inside the pub, none the wiser, but fortunately the car guard, Junior, was on hand to save the day.
Briefly.co.za understands that the drunk driver and his friends tried fleeing the scene, but Junior hid the car keys.
The brave and quick-thinking car guard kept the gentlemen at bay for 45 minutes until he was assisted.
The pub’s management contacted the authorities and assisted Shelley.
Good Things Guy reported on the incident and lauded Junior as well.
Shelley was so impressed by Junior and the pub’s staff that she took to social media to praise them for their efforts.
She conveyed how the staff drove the inebriated friends home and took her to the police station to open a case.
Thanks to all parties involved, Shelley will hopefully be reimbursed for the damage.
