It's been a long time that there seemed to be no real hope of finding out what happened to soccer star, Senzo Meyiwa.

But according to the Daily Sun, there is hope of justice finally happening as suspects will soon be arrested in the case.

Four people are to be arrested and one of them is a 'top cop', according to The Citizen.

Furthermore, the three other suspects are described as well-known individuals who will be arrested along with the cop for defeating the ends of justice.

A fifth arrest will be made for Senzo's murder - this person is apparently also well-known.

Briefly.co.za gathered that one of the planned arrests will be made on the mother of one suspect.

According to the reports, the police are investigating witnesses for concealing evidence in an effort to protect the person suspected of murdering Senzo.

Lie detector tests have apparently also been used on the suspects.

Sunday World reported that the suspects' names are withheld for legal reasons and they were taken to police headquarters in Pretoria for questioning.

The team investigating the case has apparently approached the National Prosecuting Authority and requested them to authorise warrants for the arrest.

However, the NPA asked the team to find more evidence before the warrants will be granted.

A source said: "They had hoped to arrest the suspects by the end of this week. But it can happen any time soon as they believe they have a winnable case against the suspects."

Fans of Senzo feel that it is about time that arrests be made; Police Minister Bheki Cele has promised to do so at the start of the year already.
