Mzansi defends lady after troll mocked her "Shopritey" picnic date

A social media troll got a taste of her own medicine after she tried to shame a woman online. The lady had posted a picture of a young couple enjoying a picnic and the troll responded by saying that the date looked cheap.

Social media did not take kindly to the comment, which read:

"It's all a bit Shopritey and Mr Mpricey for me hey"

Many accused the troll of being classist while others concluded that she was just jealous. Even the official Shoprite store account joined in on the heated dialogue by offering the woman a R500 voucher so she could re-create the picnic.

Twitter user Mandymashinini4 said:

"I’m a Mr price and Shoprite girl , I appreciate what’s given to me"

While NomondeTshomi said:

"Girl, romance and picnics don't belong to Zara and Woolworth's food and there's no need for this"

Vhugala_ said:

"These are the kind of opinions you keep to yourself honestly"
