Kelly Khumalo condemns those still accusing her of Senzo's death

Kelly hasn’t said much for years, following many people’s insinuations that she had something to do with the murder of Senzo Meyiwa. She had to deal with accusations from social media trolls; she watched as Adv. Barry Roux’s conspiracy theory ran wild as people bought into it, and she recently even walked off stage at an EFF gig after fans demanded answers for a crime she says she knew nothing about. This week’s accusations were the final straw for the singer.

Kelly was pushed over the edge when the SAPS claimed to have made a breakthrough in the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa’s murder investigations. This time a report in Sunday World claimed that warrants of arrests were pending for a total of eight people, three of whom were celebrities and one who is believed to be a top cop who helped to cover things up.

After hearing about the latest developments in the investigations, many people in Mzansi assumed that one of the eight people involved must be Kelly Khumalo. Before the singer could even be tried in the court of law, many people had already convicted her of the crime and dragged her name on social media.

Kelly hit back at the social media trolls with a fiercely-worded statement:

A small part of it read: “If you strongly feel, believe, and have evidence that I had something to do with my daughter’s father’s killing or I’m somehow protecting the killers? Then by all means necessary do lock me away and throw away the key.”

Unfortunately, many people still feel as if Kelly was guilty or is hiding the truth about what had happened to Senzo. They have even called for her immediate arrest but there were others who thought it was important to remind the trolls that the singer is “innocent until proven guilty” and until the court says so, it is unfair to convict Kelly.

Just over a week ago, reported that Kelly Khumalo opened up about how she feels women are treated unfairly and as a result, Mzansi is divided between supporting her and being scornful. The subject of Senzo Meyiwa's death is still a sore one.

Kelly Khumalo opened up to her fans on Instagram about how she feels regarding the way women are treated by society. reported that the singer is angry that, according to her, everything that goes wrong is put on the shoulders of women.

"My anger comes from the fact that everything in our society is a woman's fault. You get raped? You deserve it because you weren't dressed appropriately. It is a woman's fault. You lose your spouse in a crime, it is your fault and you become the number one suspect."

Kelly was referring to the untimely death of soccer star, Senzo Meyiwa.
