Trevor Noah, popular comedian and TV show host, grew up humbly and never expected to be as successful as he is today.

He remembered what a big deal it was to get take-aways as a kid and how he told his mother he would one day be rich enough to buy not just one - but two burgers. And dessert!

His mother was awesome and supported his dream of buying lots of food - something the comedian is happy about.

While Trevor joked about it, it is something many South Africans can relate to - growing up poor is no pleasure.
