Isidingo fans mourn the loss of the legendary Hendrik Lategan

Isidingo has lost a legend. Gérard Rudolf - who played the role of Hendrik Lategan - has officially made his exit from the show.

Hendrik was a fan favourite despite all the hurt that he caused. There is no denying that Hendrik was a good father and a dedicated family man.

Briefly.co.za, like the rest of the Isidingo fans, shed a tear as we said farewell to one of our favourite characters. Hendrik first appeared on the show in season one, which aired in 1998.

When Hendrik was found unconscious by Lalage, fans did not want to imagine that the worst was possible: Hendrik Lategan is dead.

Fans took to social media to bid farewell to the character and express their sadness. Hopefully the loss of Hendrik will bring the Lategan family back together.
