The situation in Sudan has gotten violent and saddening, and Boity Thulo is one of many people who want things to get better as soon as possible. She showed her support with the hashtag #PrayForSudan.
The Sudanese president, Omar al-Bashir, was successfully ousted in April of this year after months of protests and a military coup.
However, instead of things becoming better for Sudan, they gotten more violent and disturbing.
Elle reports that the military has created an 'internet blackout' to prevent people from accessing the internet and communicating with the world.
This, along with the violence against protesters, has many people worried for the Sudanese people.
Boity Thulo, local rapper and presenter, has taken to social media to show her support for the country.
There isn't much that people can do, but it is hoped that raised awareness will somehow lead to resolutions to the situation.
Briefly.co.za noticed that Boity shared photos with information on the state of Sudan, along with the hashtags #PrayForSudan and #SudanMassacres.
It may not help anyone at the moment, but it's great to see a celeb care about the welfare of their fellow humans.
