But little did Khune know that things were about to take an unexpected turn for the worse. Khune was accused of having a “phuza face” and being much older than he claims to be.

According to TshisaLive, social media users filled Khune’s timelines asking him about his age and drinking habits. They also mocked him with memes and messages.

But Khune didn’t let the trolls get him down and later took to social media to offer a special prayer to those who dislike him. He also told them not to question his age.

Khune also weighed in on a comment by Mzansi rapper, Cassper Nyovest, about cyberbullying. He asked why people lead some sad lives?

It doesn’t matter whether peeps are still heartbroken about Itumeleng Khune and Sbahle Mpisane’s break-up, but clearly the soccer star has moved on and is living his best life with his new bae, Sphelele Mak.

When Itu introduced his new love on the social scenes, people were torn between thinking - how he could move on and ditch Sbahle when she’s still recovering? But in actual fact it was long over.

But since then, many peeps have come to accept the new couple on the block and they have even made themselves Instagram-official. They spent a marvellous weekend together, from horse-riding to playing golf.
