- The club says he did not perform well enough for them
- United says they will try to sign Mohomi and Ngoma, however
SuperSport United have decided not to sign midfielder George Lebese on a permanent basis.
As a result, Lebese has returned to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The club's director confirmed that Lebese would not be staying on at United.
Lebese made seven appearances for SuperSport United, according to Sowetan Live. However, United's director, Stan Matthews, said that the fielder did not perform well enough in assisting in goal-scoring.
Matthews acknowledged that Lebese's "attitude was great" but said that he was "undercooked". He exapianed that Lebese had not done enough while playing for United to warrant him staying on indefinitely.
Matthews that United is now considering Lucky Mohomi and Aubrey Ngoma. He says that the club may sign these players on. Matthews says he has already approached Mamelodi Sundowns about signing these players.
He says that the relationship between his club and Sundowns remains good. However, he said that he would not consider any local offer for his club's prized players, Teboho Mokoena and Aubrey Modiba - even from Sundowns.
Matthews said that he had already rejected Sundowns' request to sign these players.
