- The driver of a car with dropped suspension got more than he bargained for when his car got stuck on a pavement
- Video footage shows how the man’s tyres spin uncontrollably as he tries to move off the edge
- The two men who captured the video were heard laughing in the background and were joined by thousands on social media
Cars with lowered suspensions are very popular among many South African drivers.
According to supporters of this trend, it makes the car and driver look cool and hip.
Ironically, the dropped suspension in the below video had the opposite effect for one hapless driver.
In the short video, a Toyota car can be seen on the edge of the pavement, with tyres spinning uncontrollably.
The driver desperately tries to move off the edge, but his car is just too low.
The video was shared by South Africa Live on Wednesday and has gone viral, with hundreds of comments.
Briefly.co.za noted some of the responses and South Africans were more than happy to hand out advice to the struggling driver.
Feya Fezile Mkeli said, “Air suspension is always the best in these kind of situations, dropping suspension without nothing is foolish.”
Prince Dugah Katahena added, “The best way is to release the landing gear.”
Although, most just saw the funny side and enjoyed the laughter in the background.
Saseka Khima said, “True, the laugh nje, that's what makes the video.”
Lishano Williams commented, “Wheel gap for who baba.”
Gerald Diny Geraldine said, “SHOWZ HOW STUPIT PEOPLE ARE....When Toyota designed that car ...they knew what they were doing.”
